How early can I check in?
You can check in from 3 p.m.
You can check in online if you wish. You'll receive an email with full details in the confirmation of your booking before your arrival.
Guests who arrive early can use the common areas and the baggage check at no charge.

At what time is check-out?
You have until 12 o'clock noon to check out from your lodging.
After checking out, if you want us to keep your baggage for you during the day or if you want to continue to use the hostel's services, you can sign up for the baggage check or late check-out services, depending on availability. You can find out all about this at the reception desk.

How long do I have to cancel my booking at no cost?
If you've made your booking through a third-person agency or platform, please contact them directly to learn about their cancellation policies.
On the other hand, if you've made your booking directly with us or through our website, our cancellation terms will be clearly stated on the booking confirmation email that you will receive.
In the event that you have booked at a NON REFUNDABLE rate and you have accepted the specific booking terms, your reservation fee will not be returned once it has been paid.

Can I lock my room locker?
Of course you can, but you won't need a key because we have an electronic locking system. We'll give you full instructions in the booking confirmation email.

Entering my room
We'll tell you how to enter your room in the booking confirmation email. The hostel's rooms are locked electronically with a personal code. You can also download our App to be able to enter your room.

Does the hostel have a car park?
We have a private car park with a limited number of places subject to availability. If you'd like to book a parking place for your stay, let us know so on making your booking or on your arrival at the reception desk. The cost of a parking place is 20 € a day. Places are assigned by order of booking.

If we will be lodging as a group of friends but each of us makes their own booking, can we all be placed together in the same room?
You sure can! Just remember to reserve the same type of bed, but it will depend on availability. If you are a group of friends and you want to be together in the same room, the best thing to do is to contact us directly at
info@kyhostel.com and we'll do everything possible to arrange things in accordance with your wishes.

Do you have all-women shared rooms?
Yes we do. In fact, we have several rooms just for women (with 4 or 6 beds).

I'll need to be teleworking. How does the coworking space operate?
The coworking space is located in the loft. It is a spacious light-filled area with WiFi connection, where you can work comfortably and privately.

What are the open hours of the common area (including the kitchen, television and game space)?
The common area is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

I'd like to make a guided excursion. Can you arrange this?
On our website you'll find complete information about the excursions we organize. Our reception desk team can also inform you about all this once you get settled. We offer you the possibility of signing up for guided excursions, which allow you to enjoy even more the places that you visit and to learn more about our environment, history and traditions. Rates vary depending on the excursion and the requested conditions.

Do you have lockers for skis and bicycles?
The hostel has a limited number of ski and bicycle lockers, which are assigned on a first-come first-served basis. You can sign up for this service at the reception desk on your arrival.

Is KY Hostel a suitable place for kids?
Of course it is. Everyone is welcome at our hostel. You can book rooms with 4 or 6 beds for just your family, and you can enjoy the common areas, the game space and the climbing wall.
If you want to dine together with your family, we suggest you try the specialities at our AKY restaurant, which also has an outdoor terrace. Our menu has been conceived to suit the tastes of the whole family.

How can I get in touch with you if I need help to modify a booking?
We'll be delighted to help you if you've booked directly with us. If you've made your booking through some other channel, it would be best for you to contact them to arrange things.

How often are the rooms cleaned?
The hostel is cleaned daily. Order and cleanliness are very important to us. We want you to feel comfortable and we strive to keep our facilities in perfect order.

Can the hostel be visited by people who aren't accommodated there?
Your friends and relatives are welcome at the bar, restaurant and terrace, but they may not visit the rooms.

Can I smoke at the hostel?
It is forbidden to smoke inside the hostel but you may do so on the restaurant terrace.

Can I eat in my room?
It is not permitted to eat in the rooms for reasons of hygiene and the common good. There is a shared kitchen for guests at your disposal where you can regenerate food, or prepare a coffee or a cup of tea.

Are dogs allowed at the hostel?
Dogs of up to 20 kg in weight are allowed. Your pet can stay with you if you are in a private room, that is to say, if the room is booked by a family or a group of friends. Pets are allowed in the common areas but they should always be kept on a leash or in a transport carrier. On making your booking, remember to add the comment that you are coming with your pet.
There is a surcharge of 12 € a night for pets.
On arriving at the hostel, you should display your pet's health certificate stating its vaccinations, and the insurance documents required by the pertinent regulations at all times. If you are travelling from abroad, you should also display your pet's European Pet Passport.
Guide dogs for the blind are allowed everywhere in the hostel.
We are sorry to say that we cannot allow dogs considered to be potentially dangerous.

How does the hostel's guest kitchen work?
You can use the hostel's guest kitchen throughout the day, between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. All that we ask you to do is to tidy up and clean everything you use so that the following guests will find everything equally clean and orderly.

Is there a laundry service?
There are clothes washers and dryers at the hostel. Ask about rates at the reception desk.

Are towels and sheets included?
Towels, sheets and duvets are included in the price of the bed or room. Extra towels are available for a surcharge of 2€ per towel.

Is there WiFi at the hostel?
You can connect with our WiFi free of charge in all areas of the hostel. You'll find a QR at the reception desk to connect to it.
