NORMS AND RULES OF COEXISTENCE
HOSTEL RULES (I)
CONDUCT
• KY Mountain Hostel expects KYusers (guests) to show good conduct, to comply with these hostel rules and to take good care of the hostel's facilities.
• Payment is to be made for bookings, in cash or by credit card, when checking in. The person who makes the booking will be required to provide a credit card number as a guarantee or to make a cash deposit. To check in or to register, an identity document or a passport must be presented.
• All our prices include the Indirect General Tax (IGI).
• The tourist tax is 2.09 € per person and night. This charge is not included in the price of the room/bed. The tax is subject to the regulations in force in our country.
• KYusers (guests) should comply with the rules on cooperation and personal hygiene and wear suitable clothing and footwear in the common areas.
• It is not permitted to use more beds than those for which payment has been made, either to sleep in, to lie on or to leave belongings on, and a charge will be made for any additional bed or beds used. Likewise, for reasons of hygiene and the common good, it is not permitted to store or eat food in the rooms.
• It is not permitted to hang clothing on the balconies or to throw out anything from them. Except in the case of specific events agreed on with the hostel management, silence should be kept in the rooms from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. Guests are requested to respect these hours of rest. It is not permitted to use the hostel's towels outside the establishment. Additional towels may be obtained by arrangement at the reception desk.
• Towels are intended for showering. The misuse of towels is subject to a penalty of 10€.
• Parties in general and bachelor and hen parties are not permitted at the hostel.
• For everyone's good, guests are requested to maintain a suitable tone of voice at all times, keeping silent as far as possible in the hallways and stairways.
• KYusers (guests) who commit any type of offence may be expelled from the hostel. Vandalism, in particular, is a very serious offence.
• In the event that a room occupant were to show any type of unacceptable or inappropriate conduct, the other room occupant/s should inform the hostel manager.
• KYusers (guests) will not be transferred from one shared room to another for reasons involving the alleged xenophobia or deficient orderliness, character, hygiene, etc of other occupants. If a guest does not wish to remain in a shared room, he or she may switch to a private room, subject to availability, paying the difference in price.
HOSTEL RULES (II)
VISITS AND HOURS
• Visits are allowed only in the common areas of the hostel (bar, restaurant and terrace). • The lounge and the kitchen are open until 11 p.m.
• The kitchen is intended to be used for the regeneration (heating or boiling) of food. It is open for use until 11 p.m.
• To avoid disturbing the rest of the KYusers (guests), the showers may be used until 11 p.m. and no clothing may be left in the shower area.
• The reception desk of the hostel is open 24 hours a day during the summer and winter high seasons. During the low season, the reception desk is closed between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.
HOSTEL MAINTENANCE
• KYusers (guests) are responsible for keeping their rooms and the common areas of the hostel such as the kitchen and the lounge clean and orderly. They should put away all the common utensils which they use, and keep the shared rooms in reasonably good order.
• The air conditioning, the lights and the other electrical devices should be turned off after using them. Ky Hostel cares about energy efficiency.
• The furniture of the hostel should not be moved without the prior consent of the management.
• Any theft and, unless it is due to normal wear and tear, any damage, harm or deterioration caused by misuse of the facilities, will be subject to indemnification by the persons responsible for it, according to a prior appraisal of the management.
• It is not permitted to affix posters, written messages, bywords, etc. to the hostel's facilities, or to cause any type of harm to them.
SAFETY
• KY Mountain Hostel has a video surveillance system with a 24-hour recording function. • KYusers (guests) are advised to keep the doors of their rooms and lockers locked at all times for reasons of safety.
• KYusers (guests) are responsible for closing the door correctly every time they enter or leave the hostel.
• The hostel management declines liability for any type of loss of personal property. Guests are advised to keep an eye on and to put away all personal valuables, such as mobile phones, portable computers, watches, music players, etc.
• The hostel management declines liability for the actions of KYusers (guests) in relation to other guests or third persons.
• It is not permitted to change rooms or to spend the night in any other room than one's own.
• It is strictly forbidden to smoke inside the building in accordance with the regulations in force in our country. Likewise, it is forbidden to possess or distribute any type of weapon, drugs, alcohol, or hazardous and/or inflammable materials.
• If any KYuser (guest) consumes drugs in any area of the building, he or she will be obliged to leave the facilities and the Police will be notified. No reimbursement of any kind will be granted for such reason.
• The hostel maintains the right of admission. Accordingly, in the event of any non-compliance or breach of the hostel rules, the responsible KYuser (guest) may be expelled from the hostel without any reimbursement.
REVISION OF THE HOSTEL RULES
• The hostel management reserves the right to revise and to change the hostel rules whenever it is deemed appropriate. Ignorance of the hostel rules is no excuse in the case of penalty or expulsion.
SUGGESTIONS AND COMPLAINTS
• The hostel management will willingly accept any complaints, suggestions or consultations which guests may wish to submit.
